Central Manufacturing Food License(FSSAI)

The Central Manufacturing FSSAI License refers to the license issued by the Food Safety and Standards Authority of India (FSSAI) for food manufacturing units operating on a large scale. The FSSAI is the regulatory body responsible for ensuring the safety and quality of food products in India.

What is Central Manufacturing FSSAI License?

The Central Manufacturing FSSAI License refers to the license issued by the Food Safety and Standards Authority of India (FSSAI) for food manufacturing units operating on a large scale. The FSSAI is the regulatory body responsible for ensuring the safety and quality of food products in India.

The Central Manufacturing License is specifically for food businesses involved in large-scale food production, processing, and manufacturing. This license is applicable to entities that operate in multiple states or have a large production capacity.

Obtaining a Central Manufacturing FSSAI License is mandatory for food manufacturers who meet the criteria set by the FSSAI. The license ensures that the manufacturing unit adheres to the food safety standards and regulations prescribed by the FSSAI. It is issued to ensure that the food products produced by the manufacturer are safe for consumption and meet the quality standards specified by the FSSAI.

The Central Manufacturing FSSAI License signifies that the food manufacturing unit has undergone the necessary inspections, complied with the regulations, and met the hygiene and safety standards required for large-scale food production. It demonstrates the commitment of the manufacturer to produce safe and high-quality food products.

The license is typically valid for a specific period and needs to be renewed periodically as per the regulations of the FSSAI. Failure to obtain or renew the license can lead to penalties, closure of the manufacturing unit, or legal consequences.

It’s important to note that the specific requirements, fees, and procedures for obtaining the Central Manufacturing FSSAI License may vary depending on factors such as the nature of the food products, production capacity, and location. It is advisable to consult the official FSSAI website or contact the FSSAI directly for detailed information regarding the license application process and requirements.

How to Obtain Central Manufacturing Food License?

If you are referring to obtaining an FSSAI License for a central manufacturing unit, it means that you are looking to set up a food manufacturing facility and need to comply with the regulations set forth by the FSSAI. Here’s a general overview of the process:

  1. Determine the license category: The FSSAI categorizes food businesses based on their size and nature of operations. In the case of a central manufacturing unit, you would likely fall under the “Large Scale” category.
  2. Complete the application form: Obtain and fill out the FSSAI license application form, which can be downloaded from the FSSAI website or obtained from the regional FSSAI office.
  3. Provide required documents: Gather the necessary documents, which may include identity proof, address proof, proof of ownership/lease of the premises, layout plan of the manufacturing unit, and details of food products to be manufactured.
  4. Submit the application: Submit the completed application form along with the supporting documents to the nearest FSSAI regional office.
  5. Inspection: Once the application is submitted, an FSSAI official will conduct an inspection of your manufacturing facility to verify compliance with the required standards.
